Day 14: 100 Days Without Sweets (The day I ate 2,680 calories…in one meal)
I can eat a lot of food.
I’m not at Kobayashi status, but I can certainly pack away my fair share of food.
Most days, I control my massive appetite well. I prepare food ahead of time, have plenty of healthy options at home, and take my time with my meals to prevent from overeating.
Yesterday was not one of those days.
On day 14 I ate too much – plain and simple. I rationalized my eating on this day as allowing myself a cheat meal – an opportunity to eat whatever I wanted.
Was this the best day of eating for me? No.
Is the world coming to a fiery, horrendous end today as a result? Unlikely.
Here is how the day ended up:
- 7:45 a.m. 3 Eggs, Pepper-jack Cheese, Spinach, Avocado
- 1:15 p.m. 9 oz. Chicken, Carrots, Almonds
- 7:30 p.m. 1 Medium Pizza Hut BBQ Chicken Pizza, 5 Breadsticks w/ Marinara Suace
- Nighttime – A few drinks with friends!
I started the day out strong, but my 2,680 calorie dinner, although oh so tasty, wasn’t the healthiest of things.
Like I said before – I can eat a lot of food.
However, this rare occurrence doesn’t concern me. Sure if this was an every meal kind of thing I would have some major problems, but it’s not.
We all have our weaknesses and those times where things don’t go as planned. What I try to do in those circumstances is move on, don’t stress about it, and try to improve the next time.
I probably ate more on day 14 of my 100 day challenge than on any other day. Oh well, those days happen. Today, I’ll eat healthier and, without a doubt, I won’t be eating any sweets.
