Day 5: 100 Days Without Sweets (And the first weekend!)
Another one bites the dust!
Day 5 completed of my 100 Days Without Sweets Challenge yesterday and I’m feeling good!
Here is what I ate on Day 5:
- 4:45 a.m. 3 Eggs, Apple
- 7:15 a.m. 1 Cup Oats, 1 Scoop Whey protein, 1 oz. almonds
- 12:45 p.m. 8 oz. Chicken, Black Beans, Spinach
- 5:45 p.m. Muscle Milk Protein Shake
- 8:00 p.m. 6 oz. Chicken, 1 oz. Almonds
I bumped up the carbohydrates on day 5 because I finally was able to get a lift in! I didn’t do much for my workout (My back still isn’t perfect), but I was able to do some pull ups, push ups, and arm work.
Though the first 5 days have had their ups and their downs they have gone well. However, the biggest challenge of all is coming up soon: The weekend!
For the majority of people, healthy eating on the weekend is the most difficult time. Why? Because they’re out of their normal environment.
On weekends there tends to be more social eating situations, different eating times, and less meals eaten at home – a recipe for unhealthy eating.
This is the first weekend of my challenge, so I’ll have to do what I can to avoid temptation, but I’m still optimistic that I’ll continue to go strong!
