Progress Pays: Brian’s 1st Month
Throughout my blog I talk a tremendous amount about working on progress.
Progress really is the key to achieving your goals – whether they are fitness related or something completely different.
My client, Brian, is the perfect example of you can achieve results by focusing on progress.
You see, yesterday was test out day for Brian.
A month prior we had done some baseline tests to see where he was at and yesterday was time to test out again.
We went through a variety of tests and here were the results:
- 3 Minute Step Test – Recovery heart rate down 6 beats
- Pull Up Max Out – 3 more reps
- Push Up Max Out – 7 more reps
- Bench Press 3 Rep Max – 10 more pounds
- Squat 3 Rep Max – 30 more pounds
Brian had a real solid test out day and his improved numbers were the result of progressing week in and week out.
Brian’s results are also what keep me going as a trainer – I love seeing people’s hard work pay off.
If you focus on progressing every week – doing a little bit more to improve – you’ll undoubtedly have success, just as Brian did.
