The Time Is Now, Get Started
One Sunday afternoon, after working for 6 hours on different things for Just Go Fitness, I finally decided to start filming for The JustGo Show.
I’d been planning the show for months, but hadn’t pulled the trigger.
That Sunday, I knew it was time.
I had to drive up to Oshkosh so I could use my best friend’s camera to film it, so I texted him at around 2 to see what he was doing and a couple hours later filming had started.
We ended up filming for 3 or 4 hours, I drove back and now here we are having just released the 4th episode yesterday.
The show has received a great response so far and I absolutely LOVE doing it. The only thing I wish? I would have started sooner.
Why did I put it off for so long?
The typical answer you hear from any successful person who started a project is that they didn’t start because they were afraid of failing.
For me, fear of failure wasn’t holding me back, a lack of priority was.
After taking the necessary time to prioritize the many different projects and activities in my life something became clear – the show was important.
Since it was important, I got started.
Did I worry about making it perfect?
I told myself I would get started, do my best and work on improving it as time goes on.
There’s only one thing I committed to – continually working on it. I didn’t want to start, put out 2 episodes and then not do anything with it for 3 months.
What is it in your life you should have started already?
Spending more time with your kids?
Finding a job your passionate about?
Volunteering in your community?
I don’t know exactly what it is you should be doing in your life, but I do know one thing:
The time is now, get started.
